Reduced alcohol Body Vodka is great for women in perimenopause

We’ve long searched for non-alcoholic beverage options that trick us into feeling like we are drinking booze. Ideally, it tastes "real", allows us to sip slowly, and overall doesn’t make us feel… well, bored. Unfortch, we haven’t yet found one that has perfected the desired effect. Enter lower-proof booze.

What you want is the relaxed feeling you get during that first drink, and ideally, that feeling lasts all evening. What you don't want is to get drunk or hungover. Peri pipe dreams, some might say.

Enter lower-proof booze. While it wasn’t created for peri-age women, reduced-alcohol Body Vodka is certainly a welcome addition to the peri party. Hormone changes that take place from a woman’s mid/late thirties onward can lead to far worse hangovers, horrendous sleep, and horrendous anxiety and depression. Alcohol can start to cause flushed cheeks and night sweats. It’s borderline traumatizing and frankly, it feels very unfair.

When you start getting hangovers after just one drink, it feels so sad. You merely look at a glass of wine and feel anxiety at the prospect of the next morning. You start to feel like you’ll never be able to relax with a cocktail again. It’s not as though you want to get legless drunk and dance on tables. You simply want to enjoy one nice glass of wine with dinner. Is that too much to ask? Apparently, it is!

Body Vodka is a pretty great compromise between you and your hormones. It’s got 25% less alcohol than regular vodka, so it’s more conducive to a chill, non-drunk vibe. Less alcohol means better sleep, less anxiety, and less overall hangover crap. It’s ten times distilled, non-GMO environmentally conscious, and was created by a woman, Jilly Hendrix. She wanted a lower-alcohol vodka, so she invented one. We love that.
